Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of publications in the International Journal of Machine Learning (IJOML).
-
Initial Review
Each manuscript is first reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editorial board member. During this stage, the manuscript is desk-evaluated to determine its suitability for IJOML based on the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the submission template, overall readability, methodological soundness, and similarity score (checked using CrossCheck/Turnitin). -
Peer Review (Single-Blind)
Manuscripts that pass the initial review are sent to at least two independent reviewers under a single-blind peer review process, where reviewers remain anonymous while the author’s identity may be known. -
Review Feedback and Revision
Reviewer comments and recommendations are forwarded to the corresponding author for revision and response. Authors are expected to address all reviewer feedback thoroughly before resubmitting the revised manuscript. -
Editorial Decision
Once revisions are submitted, the editorial board discusses the manuscript in an editorial meeting to determine its final status (acceptance, minor/major revision, or rejection). -
Final Notification
The final decision is communicated by the Editor to the corresponding author. -
Production Process
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage, which includes copyediting, proofreading, and layout editing, in preparation for publication as a camera-ready version.
