The International Journal of Machine Learning (IJOML) is published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Authors retain the copyright of their work. Users may read, copy, and distribute the published work in any medium, provided that the original authors and IJOML are appropriately credited.

1. License

The non-commercial use of the article is governed by the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC BY-SA 4.0). Without prejudice to the foregoing, the author hereby grants IJOML the exclusive license for commercial use of the article in accordance with sections 2–8 below, worldwide, in any form, in any language, for the full term of copyright, effective upon acceptance for publication.

2. Author’s Warranties

The author warrants that:

  • The article is original, written by the stated author(s), and has not been published elsewhere.

  • The article contains no unlawful statements and does not infringe the rights of others.

  • Copyright is vested exclusively in the author(s) and free of any third-party rights.

  • All necessary permissions for quotations or use of materials from other sources have been obtained by the author(s).

3. User Rights

Under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, authors and users are free to share (copy, distribute, and transmit) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon) the contribution, provided that attribution is given and derivative works are licensed under the same terms.

4. Rights of Authors

Authors retain the following rights:

  • Copyright and other proprietary rights relating to the article (e.g., patent rights).

  • The right to use the substance of the article in future works, including books, lectures, or presentations.

  • The right to reproduce the article for personal purposes, provided such copies are not offered for sale.

  • The right to self-archive the article in institutional or subject repositories.

5. Co-Authorship

If the article is jointly authored, the signatory of this agreement warrants that they are authorized by all co-authors to sign on their behalf and agrees to inform all co-authors of the terms of this agreement.

6. Termination

This agreement may be terminated by either the author(s) or IJOML with two months’ notice, provided the other party has materially breached this agreement and failed to remedy the breach within one month of receiving notice. No violation of this agreement shall automatically terminate it or affect the rights already granted to IJOML.

7. Royalties

This agreement entitles the author(s) to no royalties or other fees. To the fullest extent legally permissible, the author(s) waive any rights to collect royalties related to the article in respect of its use by IJOML or its sublicensees.

8. Miscellaneous

  • IJOML will publish the article (or have it published) once the editorial and peer review process has been successfully completed.

  • IJOML reserves the right to make stylistic edits to conform with its publication standards (e.g., punctuation, spelling, and formatting).

  • The article will be made publicly accessible free of charge to readers.

  • IJOML reserves the right to sublicense the rights granted under this agreement.
