Licensing Terms
Authors who publish in the International Journal of Machine Learning (IJOML) agree to the following terms:
-
Copyright Retention
Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant IJOML the right of first publication. The work is simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, which permits others to share (copy and redistribute in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon) the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided proper acknowledgment is given to the author(s) and the initial publication in IJOML. -
Additional Distribution Rights
Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the article (e.g., posting to institutional repositories, including in a book), with proper acknowledgment of its initial publication in IJOML. -
Author Self-Archiving
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories, academic networking sites, or personal websites) before and during the submission process. Such practices can foster productive scholarly exchanges and increase visibility, potentially leading to earlier and higher citation rates (see The Effect of Open Access).
